One of my favorite places that we visited often during this trip is the French Market. I really loved how some of it was like an open air market and you could walk through and see what different crafts and art people were selling. There was one store in there that we really loved. The store sold wire wrap jewelry with really beautiful stones. The stones were all different and some would sparkle beautifully in the sun. There were also so many street artists that I loved looking at. Some were near the French Market and some were at Jackson square. People have so much creativity. It’s nice to see what people can create. One particular artist drew with a black pen and almost had an abstract type of look to his art work. I found it so fascinating, and I bought three drawings from him. We also ate at the French Market a few times during this trip and the food was great. I really loved all the food I ate especially the charbroiled oysters at Acme. I am usually not an oyster fan but those charbroiled oysters were delicious. We had to order a second round of them. They came out extremely hot and covered with bubbly garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. When you eat it the oyster just melts in your mouth. I almost forgot they were oysters to begin with. I had a great time in this city and a great time with my friends. I will definitely be making a trip back to New Orleans.
