Day Eight: Inner

I had so many great experiences and learned a lot on this trip. I did not realize New Orleans had such a history until coming to the city and seeing it for myself. I absolutely love that the city has kept so many of its buildings from the nineteenth century. New Orleans is a very unique city to the United States. I enjoyed everything I did on this trip. I would like to coke back to New Orleans and do a little more exploring outside the French Quarter. There is only so much you can do in a week in a city like New Orleans. I heard a classmate talk about a swamp tour which sound fun, but I would want to do that when it’s a bit warmer. For anyone coming to the city for the first time I would recommend they start with some type of tour to learn about the history of the city itself. I found the history interesting and beneficial to the rest of my trip when going into some of the buildings. I really enjoyed the cemetery tour and the pharmacy tour especially because they were two things I found the most interesting. The haunted tour was another fun tour that was interesting. The La Laurie mansion had a really interesting history and is definitely worth the visit, because along with the mansion being absolutely beautiful the history is haunting. This city is amazing and well worth the trip. There is so much to do and see. I will definitely be making my way back to New Orleans in the future.
