Day Three: Outer

Walking on the streets of New Orleans was so exciting for me I had never been here, and I was ready for the experience. The first things I noticed were the smells of delicious food, probably because of how hungry I was, and all the music. The aroma of delicious creole food made me so excited for our dinner that evening. Hearing the different music playing in the streets made me wonder about what other types of music I would be hearing. Dinner was amazing because of two things; I was very hungry once we arrived at the resultant and the jambalaya was unlike any jambalaya I’ve had from home. The flavors exploded in my mouth and almost my whole plate was gone in minutes. Going on the ghost tour was such an interesting experience. As our tour guide was telling us the stories of the ghosts that haunted the areas we visited. I could picture the scenes in my head. When she was telling the story of the love triangle tragedy of Joseph, Mary, and Angelique, I could picture the scenes in the spot we were standing as she told their history. I felt like I knew the whole story even though I only knew what the tour guide was telling us. I tried to put myself in their time. The la Laurie Mansion gave me chills up my spine as we listened to the story of the torture chamber and looked up to see the only room on the mansion with no window.
